"Come To Me"
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you and whispered: "Come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away,
And although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

Dan Warner Day, June 15, 2002
As I look back on my life with you as a dad, my memories are filled with much love, laughter and admiration. The older I get the more I appreciate the sacrifices you've made for us, and the things you've done with us.
Thank you for the many, many nights that you came home tired from a long day at work, piled us all in the "panel wagon" and headed to the Kinderhook ball field. Even if it was 90 in the shade you never said no. And the countless number of pizzas and sodas we devoured at the Italian Place.
Thank you for the numerous times you treated the entire ball team to ice cream at Samascotts. And our ever-famous Sunday dinners that began years ago as indoor picnics while watching Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom".
Thank you for the gift of letting us see first-hand that marriages filled with respect, trust and laughter do exist.
As kids, we took all of this for granted. As adults, we realize how lucky and loved we really are.
I know, during our youth, me, Dean, Allen and Cheryl all got in our share of adventurous troubles. I think I can speak for all of us in saying that as we got older and realized how well respected and liked you were, it made us all want to be better people. We wanted you to be as proud of us as we were to have you as our dad.
Whenever and wherever your name is mentioned, only kind things are said and wonderful, funny stories are told. I have no doubt that this will be the case for many years to come. Knowing that you knew how much we all loved you, gives us all peace as we sit here today.
I am proud that I am Danny Warner's daughter.
I will love you always.

Fresh air Fun - For a Good Cause
Someone very near and dear to us, Dan Warner, was diagnosed last May with prostate cancer. As much as we wish prayers alone would bring about a cure, we know that extensive research is also needed.
This Father's Day weekend, Dan and his friends and family did something to help ALL who are suffering from this awful disease, by collecting donations for the Capital District Cancer Resource Foundation to aid in their vital prostate cancer work.
It was an informal 3 mile walk (or run) on Saturday, June 15th at 9:30AM in the Village of Kinderhook. Friends, relatives and neighbors and enjoyed a morning of fresh air and fun, while helping a worthy cause.
There was plenty of water and snacks for everyone.
If you were unable to attend but would still like to help, send your donation (any amount) payable to "Capital District Cancer Resource Foundation" to: Teresa Warner, c/o Noecker Buick Pontiac, 92 Union Turnpike, Hudson, NY 12534. Questions? Call Teresa at 822-8640.
Thank you so very much for your prayers, your kindness, and your donation.
